Já está fechado o line up do Sensation Portugal

O ‘Sensation – The Ocean of White’, concebido em 2000 pela ID&T, a maior organizadora de eventos da Holanda, estreia em Portugal no dia 9 de Maio de 2009, no Pavilhão Atlântico, em Lisboa, pelas mãos da Hipereventos e da Hype, Live Events! A primeira edição portuguesa do evento tem como tema ‘The Ocean of White’, um espectáculo apresentado pela primeira vez em Julho de 2008 no estádio Arena de Amesterdão.

O DJ/produtor Erick E tem estado no topo da música House holandesa nesta última década. A sua carreira começou em 1986 e em 1995 tornou-se residente dos sábados do lendário templo de House holandês: Roxy. No início de 2006 “Boogie Down” de Erick E liderou o top 40 holandês durante 5 semanas. O seu single “The Beat is Rockin” saiu em vários países da Europa, atingiu o top 10 na Holanda e entrou para o top 40 britânico. Seguiram-se remisturas para nomes como Martin Solveig, Todd Terry, Ron Carroll & Sandy Rivera. Ainda em 2006 venceu o prémio Melhor DJ House na Holanda mas na verdade Erick E não se limita à Holanda e gira por todo o globo. As energéticas mixagens, o entusiasmo das actuações e o seu carisma são as principais razões da sua popularidade. Erick E interage mesmo com o público! Erick E já é conhecido do público do Sensation, Portugal será o seu 9º espectáculo Sensation.

DIEGO MIRANDA

Diego Miranda pertence a uma geração que deixou uma marca no panorama musical português. Em 1996, ainda com 17 anos, já era o DJ residente no bar Virtual, na Ericeira. Iniciou a sua carreira como produtor Juntamente com o colega e mentor Miguel Ângelo. Em 2006 e 2007 venceu o Prémio DJ Revelação das revistas Dance Club e Portugal Night atingindo um novo nível Agora apresenta-se na estreia do Sensation em Portugal, para abrir o espectacular ‘The Ocean of White’.

Em 2008 Mastiksoul conseguiu que 80% dos seus trabalhos entrassem para o “Top 10” do Beatport, tendo o tema “Jacobino” inclusivamente sido considerado o 5º melhor tema do ano passado, o que lhe valeu a capa da edição de Janeiro de 2009 da revista Dance Club. Por estas razões muitos consideram Mastiksoul o artista português de maior sucesso dos últimos anos. Com mais tops em 2008 que qualquer outro artista português, Mastiksoul consolidou a sua posição como um dos melhores do mundo. Conseguiu ainda distinguir-se com um estilo muito próprio e assim criar um estilo seu, baptizado de “Mastiksoul Style”. Depois do tremendo sucesso da remistura para o tema “Rap das Armas”, de MC Cidinho e MC Doca, chega agora o convite para remisturar “Rap da Felicidade”, dos mesmos autores, outro top que se prevê para 2009. Ainda na produção MastikSoul acaba de remixar o maior hit do momento em Portugal “Ritmo do meu Flow” dos Flow212 que pode tornar-se no grande êxito deste verão nas pistas nacionais.

Criado e aperfeiçoado ao longo dos anos pela equipa criativa do Sensation, o Megamix integra sons e visões com incrível mestria e talento.

Têm sido anos em grande para Sebastian Ingrosso, depois de um rol de lançamentos entre 2005 e 2006, de ter dado a volta ao mundo em 2007 e do lançamento da Swedish House Mafia em Miami, bem como do palco do Amnésia em Ibiza. Sebastian, DJ residente do Sensation, impressionou a plateia do Sensation Chile no passado dia 14 de Março e agora irá rapidamente conquistar a audiência portuguesa.

Há vinte anos atrás, este fã de Prince foi acolhido em Chicago pelo pioneiro de Acid House, DJ Pierre. A brincadeira de estúdio resultou no “Phantasy Girl” de 1987, um forte êxito underground, que traçou o seu caminho para o estrelato. Parou de fazer underground quando fez 25 anos, altura me que decidiu fazer “canções”. Um dos momentos marcantes dos anos 90 foi o seu single "In The Dark We Live (Thee Lite)" sob o pseudónimo Aphrohead. Originalmente editado pela britânica Bush, foi mais tarde licenciado pela Emotive Records, editora de New York e lançado nos Estados Unidos. O remix “In The Dark We Live” de Dave Clarke foi um êxito da lenda Nova-iorquina Junior Vasquez no famoso bar after-hours Sound Factory. Em 2001 foi lançado o “Kittenz and Thee Glitz”, um LP altamente elogiado que o ajudou a ganhar notoriedade mainstream em artigos de revistas de topo por todo o mundo – para não falar dos seus remixes a gosto de Madonna e Kylie Minogue. Félix espantou o público no Sensation de Amesterdão, no ano passado e agora vai surpreender em Lisboa.

Com "Nobody Likes The Records That I Play" o mundo inteiro ficou a conhecer Tocadisco, aliás Roman Böer, considerado um dos DJs de topo de Electrónica nos dias que correm. «Aprender, Fazendo» é certamente a máxima deste homem e num período extremamente pequeno, este feiticeiro do estúdio aprendeu sozinho a gravar e a produzir faixas, incluindo o fortemente aplaudido álbum ‘Solo’, onde podemos ouvir sucessos como “Better Begin”, “Street Girls” and “Morumbi”. Mas é a sinergia com o público e o prazer de tocar ao vivo que entusiasma realmente Tocadisco e está nos seus planos trazer este entusiasmo contagiante para Lisboa.

Para além desta zona central, a primeira edição portuguesa do ‘Sensation – The Ocean Of White’, utilizará a «Sala Tejo» do Pavilhão Atlântico para acolher o espaço VIP Deluxe que, estando fora do espaço principal do evento, terá o seu próprio alinhamento de DJ’s, conforme indicado a seguir:

Esta dupla feminina está a agitar as pistas de dança de todo o mundo! Simone e Verónica conheceram-se quando trabalhavam como modelos profissionais e é aí que nasce a amizade e a grande afinidade e paixão pela música. Em 2007 decidem aprender a arte de djjying na Dance Planet. Facilmente a química de tocar juntas as uniu para o projecto W.L.G. Têm um set com influências que vão desde o Deep House, Soul, Funk, e Techno House, pretendendo sempre agradar o público a que se destina cada live set. As suas influências passam pelos DJ’s Tony Humphries, Deep Dish, Miguel Migs, Dennis Ferrer e muitos mais. O que torna esta dupla bastante original é a sua formação visto ser composta por uma DJ (Simone) e uma cantora/MC fazendo um vocal live act (Verónica Larrenne) improvisado por cima cada dj set.

Pedro Cazanova

Pedro Cazanova iniciou a sua carreira em 1997, dando os primeiros passos no bar que pertencia à sua mãe, mas o futuro destinava-lhe voos mais altos e hoje é conhecido nas pistas de dança pela forma precisa, equilibrada e electrizante como mistura. Identifica-se como um apreciador de boa música mas especialmente com o House. A dedicação e persistência, aliadas ao seu talento, valeram-lhe o convite a ter residência nos after-hours do Paradise Garage e mais recentemente no BBC Lisboa e no Lollipop. Este DJ dá os primeiros passos na produção ao fazer o hino da Lisboa Parade em 2003 intitulado “The Portuguese Guitar”, no qual misturou os sons fortes do House com a melodia da guitarra portuguesa. A sua mais recente produção “Selfish Love” é um fenómeno nacional e internacional de sucesso, sendo um dos sons mais ouvidos nos clubes nacionais.

Distinguiu-se com apenas 22 anos ao ser nomeado para DJ revelação nos Dance Club Awards 2002 ao lado de Pete Tha Zouk e Peter G. Com uma carreira sempre em ascensão, tornou-se em apenas três anos um dos Dj's mais requisitados a nível nacional actuando nos principais clubs, como Indústria, Pedra do Couto, Loft, Vaticano, Pacha, Buddha Club, Capítulo V, Queen's, Kremlin, entre outros, mas também nos melhores eventos e tours realizadas em Portugal como Elektro Parade, Lisboa Parade, MTV Tour, Bacardi Tour, por exemplo. Pedro Tabuada é conceituado internacionalmente actuando com alguma frequência em Espanha, Brasil, Suíça e Angola. Movimenta-se dentro do puro House, explorando todas as suas variantes e é um dos DJ's mais acarinhados pelo público português. Actualmente também dedica uma boa parte do seu tempo à produção, tendo já um disco editado e à venda no Beatport e Trackinspain.

De Man Zonder Schaduw (DMZS) influenciou a subcultura e a atmosfera única holandesa com a sua excepcional escolha musical e seu espírito de festa. Um processo de aprendizagem que o tornou um DJ altamente requisitado que actua semanalmente por toda a Holanda. Desde o início tornou-se evidente o talento para criar um ambiente especial. A escolha musical e a paixão pela melodia estão na base do seu som único! O facto de ser um coleccionador de música e fã de raves fez com que se tornasse o DJ que é actualmente: um verdadeiro senhor da noite! Toca Techno, House, Minimal, Progressiva e Clássicos, tudo no mesmo set, o que faz com que agarre o público durante a noite inteira! Iniciou a carreira em 2004, 2006 foi o ano da consagração, tornando-se num verdadeiro êxito na Holanda, e em 2007 conheceu a internacionalização ao tocar em vários espaços nocturnos alemães.

ERICK E

DJ/Producer Erick E has been at the top of Dutch House music scene for the last ten years. Hi career began in 1986 and in 1995 he became a fixture on Saturdays at the legendary Dutch temple of House: Roxy. At the beginning of 2006 Erick E’s “Boogie Down” topped the Dutch Top 40 chart for 5 weeks. His single “The Beat is Rockin” was released in several European countries, reached the top 10 in the Netherlands and made the British top forty40. These were followed by re-mixes for names such as Martin Solveig, Todd Terry, Ron Carroll and Sandy Rivera. Also in 2006 he won the award for Best House DJ in the Netherlands, but he does not restrict himself to that country and travels around the world. Hi energetic mixes, the enthusiasm of His performance and His charisma are the main reasons for his popularity. Erick E actually interacts with his audience! Erick E is already well-known by Sensation audiences and Portugal will be his 9th Sensation show.

Diego Miranda belongs to a generation that left its mark on the Portuguese music scene. In 1996, aged 17, he was already the resident DJ at bar Virtual in Ericeira. He began His career as a producer along with his colleague and mentor Miguel Ângelo. In 2006 and 2007 he won the DJ Revelação (DJ Newcomer) Prize of magazines Dance Club and Portugal Night, reaching a new height. He is now taking part in the debut of Sensation in Portugal, opening "The Ocean of White" show.

In 2008 Mastiksoul managed to get 80% of his work to reach the Beatport Top 10 and his track "Jacobino" was voted the 5th best track of last year, which led to his making the cover of the January 2009 edition of Dance Club magazine. For these reasons many consider Mastiksoul to be the most successful Portuguese artist of the last few years. With more hits in 2008 than any other Portuguese artist, Mastiksoul has consolidated his position as one of the best in the world. He also managed to distinguish himself with his unique style and thus create his own style known as “Mastiksoul Style”. After the tremendous success of the remix of “Rap das Armas”, by MC Cidinho and MC Doca, he has now been invited to remix “Rap da Felicidade” by the same musicians, another hit expected in 2009. Also in terms of production MastikSoul has just finished remixing Portugal’s current biggest hit “Ritmo do meu Flow” by Flow212, which may be this summer’s biggest hit on Portuguese dance floors.

Sebastian Ingrosso has recently had some top years, after a series of record launches in 2005 and 2006, going round the world in 2007 and launching Swedish House Mafia in Miami, as well as the Amnésia stage in Ibiza. Sebastian, Sensation’s resident DJ, impressed the Sensation Chile audience on 14th March and will now quickly win the hearts of the Portuguese audience.

Twenty years ago, this Prince fan was welcomed to Chicago by the Pioneer of Acid House, DJ Pierre. Playing around in the studio led to creating “Phantasy Girl" in 1987, a big underground hit, which set him off on the road to stardom. He stopped doing underground at the age of 25, when he decided to make “songs.” One of the most important moments of the 90s was his single In the Dark We Live (Thee Lite)" under his pseudonym Aphrohead. Originally published by British label Bush, it was later licenses by Emotive Records, a New York label and launched in the United States. The remix “In the Dark We Live” by Dave Clark was a hit by New York legend Junior Vasquez in the famous after-hours bar, Sound Factory. In 2001 he released “Kittenz and Thee Glitz” an LP that was highly praised and helped him gain mainstream notoriety in articles in top magazines all over the world - not to mention his remixes for Madonna and Kylie Minogue. Felix astounded the audience at Sensation Amsterdam last year and is now going to amaze us in Lisbon.

With "Nobody Likes The Records That I Play" the whole world became aware of Tocadisco, aka Roman Böer, considered to be one of today’s top Electronic DJs. "Learning by Doing" is certainly one of this man's mottos and in an extremely short space of time this studio magician taught himself to record and produce” tracks including the extremely well-received album ‘Solo’, on which we can hear such hits as “Better Begin”, “Street Girls” and “Morumbi”. However it is his synergy with the audience and the pleasure he gets from playing live that really excite Tocadisco and he is planning to bring this contagious enthusiasm to Lisbon.

As well as this central area, the first Portuguese edition of Sensation – The Ocean Of White’, will make use of the “Sala Tejo” of Pavilhão Atlântico to house its VIP Deluxe area which, as it is outside the main area of the event, will have its own line up of DJs, as outlined below:

This duo of female DJs has been thrilling dance floors all across the world! Simone and Verónica met when they were working as professional models and that is where their friendship and great affinity and passion for music was born. In 2007 they decided to learn the art of DJ-ing at Dance Planet. The chemistry of playing together easily brought them to the W.L.G. Project. Their influences range from Deep House, Soul, Funk, and Techno House, and they always aim to please the audience of each live set. Their influences include DJs Tony Humphries, Deep Dish, Miguel Migs, Dennis Ferrer and many more. What makes the duo most original is their training as they are made up of a DJ (Simone) and a singer/MC (Verónica Larrene) that provide an improvised live act over each DJ set.

Pedro Cazanova began his career in 1997, taking his first steps in his mother’s bar, but the future held greater things for him and he is now known on the dance floors for his precise, balanced and electrifying mixing style. He calls himself an appreciator of good music, but most especially of House. Dedication and persistence along with talent led to being invited to be resident after-hours DJ at Paradise Garage and more recently at BBC Lisboa and Lollipop. This DJ made first moves into production by producing the anthem of Lisboa Parade 2003 entitled, “The Portuguese Guitar” for which he mixed the strong sounds of House with the melodies of the Portuguese guitar. His most recent production “Selfish Love” is a national and international success and is one the sounds most heard in Portuguese clubs.

With his career constantly on the rise, in three years he became one of the most sought-after DJs in Portugal playing at the main clubs such as Indústria, Pedra do Couto, Loft, Vaticano, Pacha, Buddha Club, Capítulo V, Queen's, Kremlin, and others, as well as at the best events and tours held in Portugal such as Elektro Parade, Lisboa Parade, MTV Tour, and Bacardi Tour, for example. Pedro Tabuada is internationally renowned and often plays in Spain, Brazil, Switzerland and Angola. His style is pure House and he explores all of its varieties. He is one of the Portuguese public’s most well-loved DJs. He currently also dedicates part of his time to production and has released a record on sale by Beatport and TrackinSpain.

De Man Zonder Schaduw

De Man Zonder Schaduw (DMZS) has influenced the extravagant subculture and it’s unique atmosphere with his exceptional record choice and untameable partyspirit. A learning process that has made him a highly requested DJ that plays all over Holland weekly. What striked from the start is that he’s got the talent to create a special atmosphere. His record choice and love for melody form the basis of his own unique sound. It’s his background as a collector and an early age raver that form the basis for this unique quality and which have made him the DJ he is right now. Without labelling his style a good description would be to say it’s pure party music. He plays techno, house, minimal, progressive and classics altogether, and it’s this variation in styles that makes him a DJ that can take a crowd away for a long journey. It was only 2004 when he performed for the first time, and after that things went really fast with 2006 as a true rollercoaster year. The year 2007 also brought him his international breakthrough with a couple of gigs in Germany.
